Day 2 at Pack Expo was a busy day of chatting with new attendees and live demonstrations of machinery from beginning of line to end of line. There were many attendees asking great questions learning about the ProMach product brand machines. We heard great feedback today from both attendees and exhibitors.
Today we started on ProMach Blvd and continued down to second street to begin our part 2 of Robotics and End of Line. We stopped at ProMach product brand Brenton, whose robotics solutions were an impressive display. Their new RT1000 Robotic Case Packing cell showcased integration, programming, and end of arm tooling featuring two robots, one for case erecting and one for case loading. The robotic top load case packer is an impressive feature, with not only robotic arms picking and placing and handling the formed box but forming at the front as well.
We stopped by the Matrix Morpheus, boasting a flexible machine of intermittent motion and continuous motion. This is a special machine, as a production facility can fill large bags at intermittent motion while also fill a flexible bag of individual products at high speeds at continuous motion on the same machine. We’ll have more on this technology in an individual post soon! We also saw the Matrix Elete, which has fewer rollers throughout the machine so that the user can operate different film types, such as compostable or PCR, without errors or jams.
Walking down 2nd street and crossing ProMach Blvd we entered the labeling and coding zone. ID Technology, EPI, Greydon, Panther, and Code Tech are all together in a shared booth space that was very impressive. Their labeling and coding capabilities cover a wide range of packaging solutions, there is something for everyone. From the EPI MFlex wrap labeling system which is flexible enough for 4 different applications, providing a myriad of solutions for your bottles, cases, trays, clamshell packaging, and more, to ID Technology’s new 258 zero downtime with a 252 top apply label printer applicators, we saw an impressive number of coding and labeling machines. The Panther Predator labeling solution for high-speed accurate labeling was great to see, designed specifically for warehouse and distribution facilities and boasts labeling 25 products per minute. This machine reduces overall costs, maximizes uptime, and reduces excess waste. Fun fact, this machine is so fast, it can label up to 200 inches per second!
Tomorrow, the last day of Pack Expo, we’ll focus on Systems and Integration as well as Pharma, and the remainder of this week and next we’ll feature recaps of various machines throughout the ProMach product brands. With so many to see, we’ll be posting all of the highlights of Pack Expo 2021 in the upcoming weeks. Plus, a ProMach product brand received a very special award today that we’ll go into detail on Thursday of this week!
