ProMach has attended Pack Expo for many years. In fact, this was our V.P. of Marketing’s 18th year attending Pack Expo with ProMach! That’s a lot of shows, and while we’ve had success at a great number of them, this past show in Las Vegas was quite unforgettable. In fact, it was a record-breaking year, with over 30,000 people descending on the Las Vegas convention center on Sunday, September 22nd to experience the latest technology and innovation in the packaging industry. Attendees come to see presentations on the state of the packaging industry and market trends, exhibitors on the show floor showcasing their newest technology for the packaging industry, and machines that they hope meet all of their packaging needs. Pack Expo is a special tradeshow for us at ProMach, as it’s the only tradeshow where every one of our 34 product brands exhibit. With three new product brands added in 2019 alone, ProMach needed a booth as big as ever to showcase our best in class family of product brands.
The ProMach Metroplex, as we so aptly call the 41,000 sq. ft booth space we have on the show floor, is filled with 34 of our product brands each equipped with machines that total in number to over 100. That’s a lot of machines to fill 41,000 sq. feet! Our event team takes 2 weeks prior to the show to construct the booth and to ensure each of the product brand booths feature the most inviting and state-of-the-art space for tradeshow attendees. The middle of the ProMach Metroplex is our City Center, which intersects ProMach Blvd and 2nd street. Here we have a lounge so attendees can relax and rest their feet, a prize wheel where attendees can win a chance at ProMach swag, coffee and refreshments, and a happy hour that begins an hour before show closes. Throughout the Metroplex, we also feature private meeting rooms for our sales teams to meet with current and prospective customers. We want the best experience for our customers and strive to make it better with each year.
Beyond City Center, attendees can walk through each ProMach “street” to find product brands from each aspect of our business line, including Filling & Capping, Flexible’s, Labeling & Coding, and End of Line. Our Pharma business line had their own mega-booth prominently featured at the front of the North Hall, which featured Pharmaceuticals specific companies and packaging machinery.
As you can see from some of the examples in the highlights below (and on our ProMach Newsroom site), Pack Expo gives us a chance to show that all our product brands work together as one united team! Take for example the newest Pace machine, the R-Line. Our performance services business line, PPS, helped design the robotic arm configuration for the R-Line along with its vision system. In another example, the ProMach Filling Systems introduced the Proof Perfect™ filling systems for distilled spirits that combines product brands Federal and Zalkin, which provides filler-capper monoblocs and rinser-filler-capper tri-blocs.

Shuttleworth displayed a range of machines on the show floor, including the High-Speed Laner, a down stacker with lift grid support, the DASH, and the Express® Conveyor. Zalkin brought their new ZC-PRISM machine, a pre-inspection and sorter of bottle/container caps. The ZC-PRISM is ideal for multiple industries and applications using flat caps, helping lines save time, limit material waste, and avoid potential line errors.
