Founded in 1974, Orland, Indiana-based Miller Poultry raises all antibiotic-free and organic air-chilled poultry. Their chicken breasts, thighs, legs, and wings sell to retail and food service companies throughout the upper Midwest.

“It’s very important to have a completely sealed package that allows for clean store shelves clean refrigerators and just a clean feeling when you’re handling the chicken,” says Kevin Diehl, Chief Operations Officer at Miller Poultry.
Ossid’s NextGen 500E is ideal for the poultry industry because it easily packages a wide range of tray sizes and types including traditional foam, compostable, and clear plastic. It uses 5% – 10% less film than non-gripper chain systems and produces tightly wrapped and sealed case-ready packages at speeds up to 60 packages per minute.
“We really focus on the operator aspects of [the NextGen 500E] making them more user-friendly for them to use the machine operate be able to visually see and understand how to make an adjustments and allowing those adjustments to be automatically put into the machine,” says Brian Guillaume, Regional Sales Manager at Ossid.
“It’s been a good partnership with Ossid,” says Diehl. “They’ve treated us well with both service and parts and machine availability when we needed to grow and needed machines. Brian and Jason just do a good job with customer service. We just enjoy the relationship.”
